The “9H” language commonly used in ceramic-coating sales refers to a hardness test concept. It does not mean the coating will repair swirls, stop stone chips or make paint scratch-proof.

Look at paint under useful lighting and identify defects, repaint and sensitive areas.
Remove bonded and chemical contamination so polishing is performed on a genuinely clean surface.
Choose pad, compound and polishing strategy around the paint rather than chasing every defect at any cost.
Remove polishing residues, apply the selected system and follow its cure / aftercare requirements.
Rather than asking only “Is it 9H or 10H?”, ask what exact coating is being installed and what work happens before it.
